Aspen Creek Gaited horses
Over the last 25 years I have been riding, raising, and training gaited horses here in Star Valley. In recent years I have been making more of these horses available to the public. This page is the online home for Aspen Creek Gaited horses. We are currently standing a young Missouri Foxtrotter stallion that is available for breeding to the public as of 2026. We also have foals available at weaning this fall and several older horses being finished off for sale in the next few years.
Stallion
Yankees Black Cloud is a 2024 registered Missouri Foxtrotter Stallion. He has produced 4 foals to date and is currently settling mares for 2027. He is quickly turning into a very handsome horse and the type we like to see. He has a phenomenal disposition that he has so far passed onto all his offspring. He is still early in training but is a quick learner and very willing. He has a very natural gait and already exhibits a quick foxtrot. He has a short backed, leggy build and should mature around 15.1 hands. We are offering him to the public for a $400 stud fee in 2026. Call 307-226-5005 to inquire about his schedule.
2026 foals
This tobiano filly is out of two of our registered fox trotters. The sire is Yankees Black Cloud and the dame is our heterozygous curly mare Fancy Blu Rawhide. Fancy's last foal was a straight haired hypoallergenic. She will be a registered, naturally gaited foxtrotter that will have a great disposition. Shes has the potential to be a bombproof horse fit for any rider. She should mature around 14.1-14.2. She will be available this fall for $3000. Call 307-226-5005 for more information.

We have a have a beautiful black half arab, foxtrotter filly available this fall. She is out of our stallion Yankees Black Cloud and our arabian mare Abbie. We don't plan on having Abbie on the farm long term but we wanted to see some crosses while she's here. This filly we call Shelbie did show a pacing gait during her first weeks but only time will tell how natural her gait will be. She did inherit her sires friendly disposition. She is sure to excel in trail and endurance type riding. We are currently asking $2500 for her. Call 307-226-5005 to inquire.
